“Can Chiropractic cure appendicitis or the flu?”

The Truth
We chiropractors work with the subtle substance of the soul.  We release the imprisoned impulse, the tiny rivulet of force, that emanates from the mind and flows over the nerves to the cells, and stirs them into life.  We deal with the magic power that transforms common food into living, loving, thinking clay; that robes the earth with beauty, and hues and scents the flowers with the glory of the air.
In the dim, dark, distant long ago, when the sun first bowed to the morning star, this power spoke and there was life; it quickened the slime of the sea and the dust of the earth and drove the cell to union with its fellows in countless living forms.  Through eons of time it finned the fish and winged the bird and fanged the beast.  Endlessly it worked, evolving its form until it produced the crowning glory of them all.  With tireless energy it blows the bubble of each individual life and then silently, relentlessly dissolves the form, and absorbs the spirit into itself again.
And yet you ask, “Can Chiropractic cure appendicitis or the flu?”  Have you more faith in a knife or a spoonful of medicine than in the power that animates the living world?

What is chiropractic?

Every month, I am blessed to get together with 100 principled chiropractors from all over south florida to communicate and study the philosophy of chiropractic.  Our guest speaker, Dr. Dean Sottile, stated that the understanding of the innate philosphy of chiropractic is never ending.  I couldn't agree more.  The vast depth of chiropractic philosophy is what keeps it exciting.  To adjust an atlas and restore health is a wonderful thing.  To understand the full ramifications of that patient's life being changed forever because that woman can now comprehend clearly or that man can be less abrassive to his wife is the true essence of chiropractic.  The truth of chiropractic principles have survived for the last 120 years.  The principles of above-down, inside-out healing will last until the end of time because the truth never dies.  My job as a chiropractor is not to maintain chiropractic in existence, but to spread the message to as many people that are willing to listen.  My calling is to ensure chiropractic thrives and becomes the FIRST choice for people rather than the last.  Chiropractic is never inferior and mostly superior to its alternatives.  Chiropractic never serves to cure people but only to maximize life expression, coordination, and harmonious function of all parts at all times.  To release the great healer from within which knows all, controls all and maintains life itself.
